The term work-life balance is overused, unrealistic and striving to achieve is making people unhappy. Balance implies an even distribution between two things. Instead, think “work-life blend” – prioritising and thinking about your whole self.
Through years of working in a variety of different corporate environments, and industries, it became apparent that people are conditioned to have a mindset that is highly unproductive and definitely not cost effective. At the Balancing Act, our vision is to enlighten people to think outside of the traditional employment box.
Giving people a little freedom to manage their working day makes them happier at work, which makes them perform better and more effective in their day to day.
Flexibility means different things to different people – it can be working from home, working part-time, working near home, or contracted/temporary work. It’s about what works best for YOU in your current situation.
